Which country in Latin America for Learning Spanish?

Hi Everyone, I was wondering which country in Latin America you would recommend to do a homestay for about 3 months to learn Spanish? I do not have any experience in speaking Spanish but am looking to learn as I would love to backpack around Latin America. I have been recommended Whee institute in Bogota however, would also love some other recommendation on which companies to go through. And lastly, would you recommend around 3 months or a shorter or longer amount of time?
