One of the ways I've been distracting myself from the ever-looming distress of our pandemic-ridden world is by dreaming up (and asking others to dream up) my (their) ideal itinerary for 12 months of circumnavigating the globe in a RTW trip. I thought some of you might also want to partake in this travel fantasy (or I don't know maybe you've done a RTW trip and want to share how awesome it was) and daydream about travel with me 🤷🏻♀️ Ok so here is my quarantine-fueled RTW delusion:
Month 1 (1 month): Ghana -> Togo -> Benin ->
Month 2-4 (3 months): Ethiopia -> Kenya -> Tanzania -> Malawi ->
Month 5-7 (2.5 months): Nepal -> India ->
Month 8-11 (3.5 months): Cambodia -> the Philippines -> Vanuatu ->
Month 12 (1 month): Marquesas Islands -> Easter Island
What's yours???
Month 1-6: South-Central America (would start in Buenos Aires and work my way up to Mexico)
Month 7 - visit a few major US/Canadian cities
Month 8 - Japan
Month 9 - South Korea & China
Month 10 - India
Month 11 - Central Asia - Silk road
Month 12 - Russia & the Balkans
Not sure how practical the last half would be but this would be the fantasy 😅 I was supposed to pretty much do the first 6 months this year, the one silver lining is that hopefully once I can go I'll have saved enough to add more places on!
Month 1-3 Central America
Month 4 Colombia
Month 5 Ecuador & Peru
Month 6 Patagonia, Uruguay, Brazil
Month 7-8 India & Nepal
Month 9 Sri Lanka
Month 10-12 Australia & NZ
Trying really hard to not quit my job and go and do this all!
Your hypothetical trip sounds epic! I love doing this 😅I actually made a whole video on what I'd do if I did my Gap Year again - https://youtu.be/oASISO9HESE
If I remember correctly, in the video I said I would start a Australia Working Holiday visa.
Month 1 - Travel Australia East Coast
Month 2-4 - Regional work in Australia
Month 5-7 - Regular work in Australia
Month 8-10 - Travel South East Asia
Month 11-12 - Back to regular work in Australia
