I am leaving in October to go travelling - scary in these times I know, but its workaway style stuff so hopefully easier to navigate and a bit safer. I will be going to Portugal first and then potentially south of france / italy or spain although not certain yet, but will be gone October to December. I need one 70 litre ish rucksack and a day bag and don't know what kind of thing to pack - firstly worried i'll miss off essentials and also not sure what kind of clothes e.g. will it be hot or do i need to pack thick jacket? Help!

I lived in the north of Spain at the tail end of winter a few years ago, not far from the Portuguese border (Castile y Leon region). It's colder than you might expect, but still with glorious sunshine. Layers are 100% your friend!
Hey Maddy! I was meant to fly two days ago to Auckland but obviously plans have changed. I have now been thinking about doing a workaway in Portugal or europe in general and was hoping to get some advice? I wonder if you have any advice, suggestions would love to talk more about this. I'm really stuck on whether it's a good idea or not.
Definitely rely on layers for the unpredictable weather!
