I'm supposed to be spending a year studying abroad in Spain and France, as part of my university degree but my university have told me that this may be cancelled due to the current situation. I am a language student, studying German, Spanish and French, so this is a very important part of my degree and I want to find a new way to go abroad and live in countries, where my target languages are spoken, if this were to be the case . I've been considering getting a job abroad instead. I was thinking of using a site such as WorkAway to find a job as I've heard good things about it. However I don't know if there will even be many people hiring staff from abroad during this crazy time and whether or not it is be safe to do so. Does anybody know what the current situation is like for people looking to work abroad right now? I've already missed out on one of my study abroad placements in Germany this year and I really don't want to miss out on anymore time abroad because I feel like the best way to learn a language is to spend time in a country where it is spoken and fully immerse yourself in that language.

I have a friend who is doing 'Workaway' in Germany right now. Many families are hiring, it is certainly a great way to immerse yourself in the language and culture.
