Day 2: Monday - First Ski Day

After breakfast, we will head to the rental shop to get our ski gear together and then depart for Zillertal Arena. Beginners will meet their instructors while the intermediate and advanced will group head up to one of Austria's best-known ski resorts. Later, we'll gather at the apres-ski hütte for some "after work drinks".

Day 3: Tuesday - Show what you learned yesterday!

After breakfast, we will all depart for Zillertal Arena, the largest ski resort in the area. We'll have a beautiful home-cooked dinner back at the chalet.

It's another day on the beautiful slopes of the Zillertal valley. Lessons will continue for the beginners where you get your final tips and tricks. Later in the evening, we'll get all dressed up ready to hit for town for an iconic Austrian night out in Mayrhofen.

Day 5: Thursday - Spa and/or Adventure Day

It's our rest day from the slopes! You can stay at the chalet, relax in the pool, and enjoy the sauna, or head out for any activity of your choice in the Zillertal valley. In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to show of your skills (or lack thereof) on skates as we go to the ice disco*.

FAQ

    Ski Resort

Do I need to have ski experience to attend this trip?

Not at all. We will be welcoming people of all ski levels on this trip. If you are a complete novice, you will be strongly advised to opt into professional classes for the trip and you will get to learn for the first time with other fellow beginners on the trip. If you do not need professional coaching, we will get together into little groups based on your skill level and interests so no one feels held back or pushed too hard.

Will all of the ski equipment be provided?

No. As we are aware that some guests may already have all their own equipment, this is not a trip inclusion. Any items that you do not have, it is possible to rent from a local ski store close to our accommodation. You can rent equipments such as skis, boards, poles, helmets and more. We will assist with all of this on the trip and will ensure the rental shop is our first stop before hitting the slopes on the first ski day. Everything that you require is listed in the packing list in the info pack. And items such as clothing and accessories can be rented in Innsbruck (you must organise this yourself).

Will transfers from the airport be included?

Arrival transfers will not be included. However, there is a short and direct bus that goes from the airport to the centre of town regularly, close to our meeting point. We will provide detailed instructions on how to make this journey so it is as straight-forward as possible. On the departure day, we will all travel to Innsbruck together by coach and escorted directly back to either the airport or centre of town at 10am. Please don't book a departure flight from Innsbruck before 12pm.

Is this suitable for solo travellers?
Absolutely, in fact, that is exactly who this trip is aimed at! We hope you leave this trip with great memories and amazing new pals that last a lifetime. However, you are still welcome to book on with a partner or with a friend as well.

Who will I be sharing a room with?

You will be sharing a room with 2-3 other guests (of the same sex) in the group trip. We can accommodate any rooming requests you may have with others on the trip. Otherwise, we will assign guests into rooms based on age and interests.
